"Tired Today" is a song by Mars Argo. It is featured as the tenth and final track on their debut album Technology Is a Dead Bird.
Background[]
The song is primarily sung by Titanic Sinclair, with background vocals by Mars Argo and an ending monologue by Connie.
A demo of the song without Argo's or Connie's solo parts was released as a music video on March 18th, 2009.
An alternate demo was uploaded to the duo's now-defunct Muxtape page in April 2009,[1][2] but was taken down sometime between February 2010 – December 2011. This version resurfaced online on June 9th, 2018.
Lyrics[]
Why am I so tired today?
I don't have a reason to feel this way today
I'm so sore
I wish I had a reason
To sell my things and close the door
The door, the door
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da
The ultimate hypochondriac
You are the only person in the world who you think about
And it is starting to get the best of you
Am I running away from the problems
Or towards the result?
I never understood running in place
But maybe that is the answer
Maybe it's been in front of me all this time
And I just couldn't see it under my selfish chin
Maybe I am the thing in the simulation
Maybe, yes, that must be it
Maybe I am simple and infinite nothing
I'm feeling so tired today in my human body
I think I'll put myself to sleep
Why am I so tired today?
I don't have a reason to feel this way today
I'm so sore
I wish I had a reason
To sell my things and close the door
The door, the door

Music video[]
The music video for the song was released to Grocerybag under the title "'Tired Today' - Original Song". The upload was Mars Argo's first official music video release for a song from their debut album, Technology Is a Dead Bird.
Synopsis[]
The gloomy-filtered video features various shorts of Argo and Sinclair standing in front of a white background and singing the lyrics to the song. For the duration of the first half of the music video, Argo can be seen picking flowers from a bouquet of dead roses, while Sinclair plays acoustic guitar. Following this, a close zoom-up of Argo's eye is shown and the video is ended with a title card promoting the band's YouTube channel.
Trivia[]
- This remains one of the only Mars Argo songs in which the music video uses a different mix of the track from the released versions available on streaming platforms.
