Thick Jello is the debut album by singer-songwriter and producer Titanic Sinclair. It was released on December 5th, 2012,[1] partially intended to hold fans over until the band Mars Argo's later canceled second studio album would be released.[2]

Background[]

Sinclair began working on the album in late 2009, with a demo of his song "Weightless Egos" being featured in Computer Show episode "Over 9000 Years".[3] During this time, songs were being recorded for Mars Argo's canceled second studio album, with some of them being on the tracklist. Lyrics for the song "Throw Your Thoughts Away" were posted to his Tumblr page in March of that year, along with promotion for his self-titled EP in mid-2012. This song was featured as the closing track of the Mars Argo CD compilation album.

The second and third songs to be released from the album were "Blank Check" and "Limousine Machine", which were posted to Mars Argo's official SoundCloud page on November 10th, 2012.

The full album was surprise-released on December 5th, 2012, receiving promotion on Reddit,[4] but also from Argo through her official Facebook page.[5] A music video for "Limousine Machine" was released three days after the album.[6] The description on Bandcamp states that it was entirely written and recorded by Sinclair with a $25 mixing board and a computer, with the cover artwork being a behind-the-scenes photo of "Our First Date", photographed by Argo with a Polaroid camera.
