"Nothing Without You", also known as "What's Your Name", is a promotional single by Mars Argo. It was an unused song from the 2011 EP, Linden Place. The only time the song was officially released was on the Mars Argo compilation album in 2012.

Background

Following the release of Linden Place, Mars Argo released this song onto the Grocerybag YouTube through a video featuring a looped gif made from the EP cover photoshoot outtakes.

The lyric "what's your name" was used as the title for a three-part series about the Linden Place era. A clip of Mars recording piano and vocals for this song at Groovemaster Studios is featured in Part 2 along with the EP photoshoot process and filming for the "Love in Black and White" music video.

This is one of the songs by the band after "Technology Is a Dead Bird" that features notable vocals by Titanic Sinclair, along with "Pls Don't Forget Me" and the Johnny K rework of "Using You".

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
When I lost my voice last night, I knew
I don't deserve you
When I'm always right I bend the truth
It only hurts because it's true
Let's pretend I can fool you like I fooled them
We'll be together and you'll always be my best friend
Why can't I be satisfied like them?

[Pre-Chorus]
What's your name, boy?
What's your name, girl?
What's your name, child?
What's your name?

[Chorus]
Who are you? Where did you go?
Who are you? Where did you, did you, did you...

[Verse 2]
When I lost my voice last night, I knew
I don't deserve you
When I'm always right, I bend the truth
It only hurts because it's true
A friendly blackout, another daze
I hope you will forget me and I hope it's just a phase
I am so predictable these days

[Pre-Chorus]
What's your name, boy?
What's your name, girl?
What's your name, child?
What's your name?

[Chorus]
Who are you? Where did you go?
Who are you? Where did you, did you, did you...

[Bridge]
When I lost my voice last night, I knew
I want to love you, I haven't yet
I want to feel you in me for the first time again
Will you save me from these voices in my head?

[Chorus]
Who are you? Where did you go?
Who are you? Where did you, did you, did you...
Who are you? Where did you go?
Who are you? Where did you, did you, did you...
