"Creepshow" is an unreleased song by Mars Argo. It was likely intended for use on their canceled second studio album.

Background[]

Mars Argo posted a line from the song to her Facebook page on July 30th, 2011.[1] The track saw its live debut at Lincoln Hall in February of the following year,[2][3] featuring improvised lyrics due to not yet being finished. A part of the track is also sung live in "Clips".

On September 9th, 2017, a studio snippet of the song was leaked to YouTube, after being sent to a fan by Titanic Sinclair in January of that year. The full version was leaked on May 9th, 2022.[4] It is believed that the song remains unfinished, as the only known studio recording lacks verse and chorus lyrics.

Lyrics[]

You said I'm never gonna figure it out
I'll do it on my own
I heard "Da-da-da-da-da-da-da"
I'll see it on my own
Oh you, doing all the things that you do
Well, I'll get it on my own
Oh you, la-da-da-da-da-da-da

"You're never gonna figure it out"
I'll do it on my own
Oh you, bet you want me nowhere around
'Cause we'll see it on our own
Oh you, doing all the things that you do
I'll get in on my own
Oh you, want me going nowhere around
'Cause we'll feel it on our own
Oh you, doing all the things that you want
[...]

Trivia[]

  • The title "Creepshow" might be a reference to the 1982 American horror anthology film of the same name, directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King.
  • The song was registered to Audiam in September 2019, under the title "Creepshow (Instrumental)".[5]
  • Alex Mixter, who was a member of the band during its live debut, claimed the track was only ever a "chord progression" and did not have lyrics, with the Lincoln Hall performance lyrics only being "improvised."[citation needed]
